I doubt he realizes this, but his posting spree basically shows that he has nothing going on on Christmas Day other than talking shit online, meaning that no one is engaging with him on this day.

Doesn't the President have some kind of events Christmas day traditionally, he can't even do those.

259

u/netizenbane 13h ago

He doesn't, since the decades-long runner of the Kennedy Center Christmas celebration cancelled when he showed up and saw Trump's name added to the building:

129

u/Flomo420 11h ago

fucking idiot thinks slapping his name over other people's achievements will make him great

22

u/Noughmad 9h ago

This is exactly what he enjoys though.

And I don't mean having his name everywhere. And I don't mean people worshipping him either. I mean when people who don't like him, or even hate him, have to do things for him. This is true of political opponents like here, of trade partners like in Art of the Deal, and of girls.

They don’t want him to. He started hitting on an 8 year old when he was taking Christmas Eve calls

152

u/whogivesashirtdotca Canada 11h ago

And, on a far less creepy (but still creepy) scale, he also tried to spoil Santa for a seven year old.. Really feels like Trump either doesn't get Christmas, or his narcissism is so bad he can't stomach the thought of people going one day without thinking about him.

u/TangledUpPuppeteer 4h ago

I can’t believe I watched that. “Cuz at seven, it’s marginal, right?” WTF? I am 43, raised Jewish and am an atheist. If he said this TO ME I’d want to throw a whole fit. A SEVEN YEAR OLD???

Who the hell handed this man a phone and said “you seem like someone responsible enough to talk to children!”

I swear, I hope it was like the bat phone. He just picks it up and a voice actor trained to sound like a kid picked up in the next room, prepared to answer all the dumb shit he could spew.

He’s getting to that stage of dementia where social filters are breaking down and the reptile brain starts peeking out. Near the end of her descent through Lewy Body Dementia, my grandmother would strip naked and say lascivious shit to her own adult sons, who she no longer recognized. You know what she wasn’t doing? Saying creepy groomy shit to 8-year-olds because she wasn’t sexually attracted to fucking children. I bring this up because you know as these people start accepting the fact he is clearly suffering from some form of cognitive decline and the next mask off pdf slip up happens they’re gonna chalk it up to “well dementia just makes you say crazy shit,” knowing damn well it doesn’t work that way.

Clearly his family doesn't want to spend time with him and he doesn't spend time with them...

My kids grandparents were doing things with them all day. We had an amazing day. I wonder when it will ever click with his family that his behavior sucks.

Trump hates his children. He's never once played games with them or acted like he cares about them.

1.6k

u/Next_Lock391 17h ago

He plays with children, just not his own… wait…. What did he say about his daughter again? Never mind…. He does play with his kids… just not in a fatherly manner.

415

u/Mindshard 14h ago

Look up the video where Ivanka takes a TV crew to see her childhood bedroom. She goes from relatively cheerful, or at least fake happy, to thousand yard stare when they get to her bed.

Not saying it's proof of anything, but man is it an uncomfortable video...

360

u/Tubamajuba 13h ago

The thing is, there’s thousands upon thousands of “not really proof” incidents with Trump that all combine to provide a solid profile of the narcissistic pedophile rapist we all know he is.

36

u/jesbiil 11h ago

That’s where I am with this Trump-guy. Like there’s not an insanely obvious absolute direct link to him being a pedophile….but holy shit the red flags are up EVERYWHERE to the point where I’d be much more surprised if there was somehow irrefutable evidence that he wasn’t a pedo.

79

u/ScarletInTheLounge 13h ago

I'm of the mindset that we shouldn't be exaggerating anything, because goodness knows he's done plenty of terrible things that CAN be proven, and exaggerated or false accusations just weakens our stance.

So, that being said, I did look up the video a ways back after hearing so much about it and...yeah. There's a definite shift in her appearance and mood once they get to the bed. Ugh.

u/still_stunned 13h ago

34

u/metacosmonaut 13h ago

God that was both distressing and eye opening.

41

u/Mindshard 13h ago

It's obviously not proof of anything, but considering all the sexual comments he's made to and about her, even to the point where others in government tried to remind him that she's his child...

We know Trump once took one of his sons to see a baseball game while he was in college. Don Junior, maybe? Mostly because it's a well known event where his son came out of his college room dressed like a normal college student going to a baseball game. Trump punched him in the face, knocking him to the ground, and told him to put on a full suit to look professional.

49

u/B-Z_B-S 16h ago

Really? I've never heard of that. (Genuine)

91

u/RecessMonkeys 16h ago

I've heard that story before. It was in front of a bunch of his dorm mates. Explains a lot about Don Jr.

47

u/BaronMontesquieu 16h ago

It's an unverified claim made in a Facebook post many years ago (but also many years after the alleged event). No biographer or journalist has ever been able to find anything to verify it.

One of my very few pluses about this whole thing is that they all seem absolutely miserable.

As has been said so much, if I ever had one million in liquid cash I would just disappear forever. My family and I would just be enjoying basic shit like eating food and walking on beaches.

These bags of trash are scrabbling for billions and spending all of Christmas tweeting. Cool.

124

u/Every-Incident7659 13h ago

That's the wildest thing. All these billionaires are destroying the world and making life worse for everyone. And they are practically the most miserable of all of us.

35

u/dasunt 11h ago

At a certain point, wealth becomes meaningless for quality of life.

Say you get $10,000/year. Your life is likely pretty miserable, at least in the US.

Move up to $100,000. Big jump in how financially secure you are.

$250,000/yr? Now you are doing better than 90% of people.

$1,000,000/yr? For the most part, no financial problems. Btw, if you lived 100 years and saves every penny of it at this rate, you would only be one tenth of the way to being a billionaire.

So say you have one tenth of a billion dollars. At this point, you can fuck off and choose to do whatever you want - spend time with family, volunteer, see the world, etc.

Those who accumulate more likely are driven by some other need - a love of money, a love of power, trying to compete with other rich assholes, etc. That's not healthy behavior.

Spending your whole day obsessively posting to social media is peak loser behavior. Doesn't he have a life? Friends or family to celebrate with? What a sad pitiful life he leads.

Or is he just jealous that because it's a holiday he isn't the center of attention for a day? Maybe that's why he doesn't like them so much.

The president of the United States and the richest man in the in the world are the two cringiest of terminally online losers that I’ve ever seen in my life.

Its because everyone who meets them can't stand to be around them. Even people like Bezos and Zuck have partners and friend groups of one sort or another. Trump and Musk are so insanely repulsive they are avoided by everyone else whenever possible.

360

u/[deleted] 16h ago

[deleted]

292

u/StoneGoldX 15h ago

It might be the same question, but Zuck and Bezos both had fathers who weren't cartoon supervillains.

176

u/greenday5494 15h ago

Lmfao that’s a really good point. Musk and trumps, both of them, had fathers that are cartoonishly evil.

61

u/CharlotteLucasOP 12h ago

It burns my bacon that “Daddy issues” has become shorthand for “unstable woman with attachment issues” when there are so many examples of men being supremely fucked up by their fathers.

And speaking for myself as a woman, my issues with my father are pretty straightforward, as these things go. The dynamic with my mother is the thing that has me spiralling in therapy sessions for surprising realizations I never saw coming.

→ More replies (2)

105

u/CelerMortis 15h ago

I think this is correct. Basically everyone around them is a sycophant, sucking up all the time and that’s what they think everyone should do. So it’s extremely difficult for them to accept the sheer number of people who loathe them. Causes them to spiral out of control

120

u/GreatMadWombat Michigan 15h ago

You can buyan entire town and just let people live there without any rent for way less than a billion. Or fund your own tv show. There's so many easier ways to turn a fortune into people worshipping the ground you're walking on

97

u/bobartig 13h ago

Trump had his own television show where everyone worshipped the ground he walked on. It ran 12 seasons. His takeaway from that experience was that he should have power and control over everyone and everything. To his credit, he convinced some 47-49% of voting Americans of the same, twice.

Trump didn't want just a life of sycophancy and adoration. He wanted everything, and the Fed Soc, the GOP, the Alt Right, Steve Bannon, Steven Miller, and a whole bunch of other evil assholes decided they could mutually use each other to try and take over the world.

This is true of Musk especially. Every celebrity gets someone from college or high school or something giving a tell-all interview a decade later. Could be “He’s so different in person”, or “He was an asshole then too”, or anything in between, but there is something.

Musk never has that, because Musk had no friends.

68

Exactly this. I'm convinced this man is incapable of love, because that requires putting someone else's needs above your own, which he has never done. Every single relationship he has is transactional. Even his damn marriage, which for us normal people is the most intimate kind of loving relationship, is a transaction.

It's why he doesn't have any pets. What could a dog give him in return that would make it worth it for him to feed it and pick up its shit? He doesn't understand affection or companionship, just business.

Other peoples birthdays for sure.

Edited to add that Trump’s mom probably gave him presents in other people’s birthday. He seems like the kind that would demand them. u/ReactsWithWords 14h ago

Well, you have to admit he’s running the country exactly like he ran his businesses.

His cult love this, him being an asshole to everyone is literally why they wanted him in office. And to hurt all the "right" people. And if he can do both at the same time, bonus!

lol, it’s true tho. I mean, his own wife didn’t speak to him during a Christmas Eve dinner and is never around. I think he is certainly a very lonely dude… by his own making though. He brought that on himself by being trash.

Edit; lonely

A man goes to a newspaper stand every day, buys a copy, glances at the front cover, curses, and throws it away.

After a few weeks of this the seller just has to ask what's going on: "why do you always look at the cover but never inside?"

"I'm looking for an obituary."

"An obituary? But those are in the back!"

"Oh no, the obituary I'm looking for will be on the front page."

He's still posting away, his latest one is a rant about Sleazebags who loved Epstein before dropping him, with some vague threat about it being the last Merry Christmas for the Democrats. It's honestly disturbing. And to think he doesn't drink.

I know this is not strictly politics, but it is Christmas and I'm on reddit.

I'm stuck thinking how a person can have this much vileness inside. What is a day like if your hate rules every minute of every day? It doesn't seem possible to be human and live a life that way. I believe there are many ordinary people who have a lot of hate in their hearts, but they usually have something or someone who also warms their heart. I don't think Trump does, not one thing.

The man simply cannot handle 24 hours of the world not giving him endless attention. I really just want to understand how his supporters justify this kind of behaviour

59

u/Elchobacabra 16h ago

Easy, I follow the conservative Reddit and can tell you exactly how they justify it.

  1. They like that he talks like this because they believe liberals want to destroy America and are evil for not loving trump. I’m genuinely not kidding, they’re mad that we don’t respect a man that we not only viscerally disagree with but actively wishes harm on his opponents. We’re evil for having a normal reaction to what he is.

  2. Everyone that criticizes him is actually a liberal and they’re being brigaded because no way the party of Christ would be upset that he’s being anti christ like on the Christian Super Bowl.

It’s fascinating.

25

u/_Panacea_ 14h ago

Conservatives are being so misled I truly feel bad for them. Trump is a divider, he wants civil war. Never have I ever seen a sitting president act in such a way, it is embarrassing. Every president regardless of party has moved to bring the nation together. You don't just represent Democrats or Republicans, you serve what is best for the nation.

178

u/Flyinghead 16h ago

They're not being misled, they came back for a second helping

“Since ancient times, Ukrainians have believed that, on Christmas night, the heavens open. And if you tell them your dream, it will surely come true. Today, we all share one dream. And we make one wish – for all of us. 'May he perish,' each of us may think to ourselves. But when we turn to God, of course, we ask for something greater. We ask for peace for Ukraine. We fight for it. And we pray for it. And we deserve it”

Lashing out verbally or on a social network platform is classic dementia sundowning behavior. In an objective way it’s kind of amazing to watch this happening in real time; he’s like the American version of George III, but with frontotemporal dementia.

My guess is that he’ll definitely be in the history books as an example of the most documented FTD progression.
