article Donald Trump dealt another humiliating blow as Kennedy Center speech is the least-watched in history

I canât listen to him speak anymore, I physically recoil. I can only bear to skim the transcripts, his cadence of lies makes me sick.
161
u/nonamenolastname 3h ago
I cringe when he says something he thinks is funny or witty (and never is) and then pauses...
47
u/Kalinka777 3h ago
Itâs horrifying. The second he opens his mouth, you know itâs just the same bs - lies about how great he is.
54
u/Elastichedgehog 3h ago
If you listen to him enough you'll know he just hits the same points over and over and over every time he speaks publicly.
I hate the man, but go look at some videos from 10 years ago compared to now and you'll see the cognitive decline in real time. He used to be a pretty good speaker, albeit much of it was still bullshit.
43
u/HorrorSmile3088 2h ago
I just love how the people who claim to be centrists or independents talked nonstop about Biden's mental decline but don't say anything about Trump. Like somehow it's more acceptable because it's Trump.

He used to be a pretty good speaker,
He's somehow gotten worse, but he was never anything close to "pretty good."

Yeah, there was a certain charisma to him before. It was still obnoxious, but even if I hated him I could find myself chuckling a certain quips, and could recognize he was good at keeping people's attention and pointing them in the direction he wanted
The few times I have forced myself to listen to him now, he just sounds tired, angry and lost. Biden may have stumbled his words more, but he never seemed to lose track of what he was talking about.Â
I do think Biden was too old to run again, but he still seems leagues better than Trump in terms of mental acquity

I don't understand why ANYONE listens to him. He just rambles incoherently. I can hear a Trump speech by going out to the nearest intersection

You know that feeling you get when you watch the Dinner Party episode of "The Office"? That's how I feel every time he speaks.

Why are we talking about this and not the document in the files that says Trump helped murder a baby and throw it in lake Michigan?
112
u/Totaliss 2h ago
just looked it up and the mother was a sex trafficking victim who was pregnant at 13. Just horrific

u/SwordfishOk504 1h ago
It's a random online claim that was made years ago that is being presented as fact to distract you from what is actually being released in the Epstein files (and the numerous Trump stuff that has been redacted from them). There is zero reason to believe the claim is true, it was part of a large file of documents from several years ago full of random claims like that. You're being conned and distracted with it. The goal is to discredit the actual files with that kind of unsubstantiated nonsense.
17
u/EmpTully 47m ago
Oh shit sorry I didn't realize you were the arbiter of which files are true and which are not. Please tell us all which ones are the true ones that we should be focusing on!

Because itâs just a tip that was called into an FBI tip line, and shouldnât be treated like it was something thatâs been verified to have happened.
â˘
u/Filthiest_Vilein 28m ago
This.Â
Iâm so sick of hearing about it. I donât like Trump at all, but so many people here are willing to take a completely unsubstantiated tip as, at the very least, compelling evidence of wrongdoing. Itâs notâitâs just a tip.Â
Trump deserves jail time for dozens of different things that we know, for a fact, thatâs he actually done.Â
A tip is just a tip.Â

You must have missed the Epstein files document that described exactly that. Go read it yourself: https://www.justice.gov/epstein/files/DataSet+8/EFTA00025010.pdf
7
u/pmMeYourLatestSelfie 1h ago
I'm as anti trump as they come and I gotta facepalm at everyone's reaction to this. Its a tip line call. If there's no corroborating evidence it can't be taken as fact.
3
u/SwordfishOk504 1h ago
It's also intentional misinformation that is meant to flood the zone with bullshit so his followers can pretend the actual Esptein files are all fake.

Oh, he gave another speech? I just found out now. If anything that man needs to talk less, so Iâm not surprised nobody tuned in. Sad.
31
u/yourethebestestest 3h ago
When you say talk less, you mean not talk at all, correct?

u/BaldyFecker 3h ago
No, I'd hope less than that.

u/Basilisk1667 2h ago
I kinda feel like less people are listening to him anymore because itâs always the same speech.
âIâm the greatest human to have ever lived, everything Iâve ever done (true or not) is the greatest thing thatâs ever been done, and nothing is ever my fault. The exact opposite is true for all of my opponents. Theyâre the worst, what theyâve done (true or not) is the worst, and literally every negative thing is their fault.â
Every. Time.

He's gonna paint it gold. Then say it can't be called the white house now and people think of cheap sprayed on gold when they think trump, so it had to be changed to the trump house. Common sense man

Why am I getting notifications from r/music, about Donald Trump, as a crosspost from a subreddit called...r/IrishStar.com ? What the fuck? What even IS that?
Is there a way to mute this subreddit? It seems like it's completely unmoderated.
6
u/roseofjuly 2h ago
You could just unjoin. Joining just gives you notifications in your feed. You can still come here manually and post.
4
u/user0015 1h ago
Yeah, I think I will. I honestly don't remember the last time I saw something from this subreddit music related. I'm better off sticking to more specific genres.

âAnother humiliating blowâ is crazy, I hate these stupid headlines that make it seem like Trump is doing badly for clicks. Him and his friends are robbing the country, attacking brown people, taking rights from trans people and women, attacking the media and he has raped multiple women and children probably.
All this shit and people are posting stupid articles to make you think that he was dealt a blow in any way from the viewership of a speech heâll lie about anyways. Completely delusional clickbait.
3
u/NephilimRayne 3h ago
Oh look another new Low. Well if he's good at anything it's cratering what he touches.

3
u/deepbluemeanies 1h ago
The source is an Irish tabloid and no where on the article does it say "lowest in history" ... unless "history" only dates to 2022. This is clickbait and we all fell for it; as a Irish tabloid with little reputation for truth telling I am surprised how often accounts post their articles across Reddit.

I bet even the most right wing people are tired of the endless "the left wing lunatics yada yada" kind of "speech". I mean, it's Christmas time and probably they already have to listen to their elderly relatives' rant, last thing I'd want is another one on TV.

Everything this scumbag says is a lie.. he needs to crawl in a hole and die.
1
u/Bishopkilljoy 2h ago
Nah, his people didn't tell him that. They told him it was inspirational and worthy of medals. They told him nobody has ever done such a performance.
I genuinely believe Trump believes the economy is great because he's only shown the statistics that make him look good.
His policies could have burned an orphanage down and killed 50 children and they'd tell him "you're so effective, you got 50 children off the streets"

You must be reading fake news. According to Trump the audience was the largest in the history of the Center. People were lined up waiting to get in.

u/hyperforms9988 2h ago
People can only take the same old shit for so long before it becomes pointless to continue listening to it... even for his supporters. Remember when folks made fun of the amount of people going to his rallies on the campaign trail versus the number of asses in seats for Harris? How'd the election end up working out? One candidate was completely new and had months to campaign and the other's been droning on, and on, and on, and on, and on, and on, and on, for longer than 4 years about the same old shit, and there's only so many times you can listen to it before it's no longer "must-see" TV or "must-hear" speech. He's been dominating the news cycles for practically a decade plus. People are either thoroughly sick of it, or they support him but they've heard all of this stuff before multiple times over.

If you canât wait like most of us what do you think is the best thing to get them in charge sooner rather than later? The lives destroyed this year are going to be multiplied next year before theres ever an election to get a few more adults in the room. Not in charge, just in the room.

u/PostMaster-P 2h ago
It doesnât hurt his feelings at all, because through his eyes he saw the most successful event in the history of the venue.

Is there even a point to tuning in? I can summarize pretty much every speech Iâve ever heard from this guy right now; âIâm the best, everything good is because of me, everything bad is because of Biden. Democrats are enemies and scum, fuck anyone who doesnât like meâ.

Does it matter? This buffoon is just going to say something like âIt was the most watched speech in the history of speeches. Many people are saying it was better than Gettysburg. â and the idiots are going to believe it.
I canât wait for the grown ups to be back in charge.
